Being Thankful

As you read this today, I would like to encourage you to think about all the things in your life that you are thankful for and hold them close to you or even write them down somewhere so you can be reminded every day. I truly believe that we should be thankful all year around because as we think of what we are thankful for it can make for a better day. We are very fortunate to live in a world where we get to have freedom to do what we want and live how we want whereas some people are not so fortunate to have that freedom in their life, all they are able to do is go day by day and live each day as it is given to you in your life!

Let me share with you a few things I am thankful for here is my things of what I am thankful for. I am thankful for friends, food, roof over my head, a job, and cloths on my back. I only named a few items for you to get an idea of what I have. It only takes a few minutes to come up with things to be thankful for in your life I try to write them down to make it easier on me. Give it a try and when your done see how you feel at the end!

Allow me to share with you what it means to be thankful in your life so you have an idea of what I am talking about. Well, we live in a wild world where we keep ourselves busy and in the midst of everything going on, we find ourselves grumbling or complaining on how things are not going our way or we wish things would be better instead of focusing on what we do have in our lives like family, friends, freedom, and food because those are the most important things to have in our lives daily. People sometimes think that the only day that they should be giving thanks is on Thanksgiving when really, we should have thankfulness in our hearts every single day!

So, let me say this each day find something to be thankful for and then write it down so you can see it. Being thankful does not just come once a year at Thanksgiving it can come all year around you have to put your mind to it. Being thankful will help you to focus on less complaining and more finding the positive in the rough patches of life. Today let us choose thankfulness each day and be happy with what we are given!

Thank you for taking the time to read this if you could please leave a comment below and let me know what you thought of this topic. I always love to hear from my readers and also be encouraged to remind me that I am doing a good job at writing!

Thanks again,

My Favorite Season And Why

There are so many seasons to choose from and people always ask me what my favorite season is because it depends on the person. Today I am going to share with you my favorite season and why I enjoy that season. Some people like different seasons and some seasons teach us some lessons throughout the season.

So, today I will be talking about my favorite season because I think everyone should learn something new about me. My favorite season has not changed since I was 10 years old. My favorite season is SUMMER, and I think a lot of people can agree with me. I am not the kind of person who sits around and does not do anything I would rather keep myself busy each day.

The reason why summer is my favorite season is because I can be outside and enjoy the weather when it is nice out. When the weather is nice and hot, I enjoy going for swimming, riding a bike or go for a walk when the weather cools down. Summer is the best way for people to get outside from being inside all winter. Summer brings in so much positivity with the sun shinning and gathering with family and friends. Summertime people usually go on vacation to make memories and cherish them forever. Growing up my guardians tried their best to take us on a nice vacation each summer so that we can remember something in our lives. I will say I did make memories with everyone around me. Summer will always be my favorite season.

Well, in conclusion summer is my favorite season because I get to be outside enjoying my day, swimming, and riding my bike. I would agree that not everyone loves summer, but I believe that summer can bring in positivity. So, I hope that you learned something new about me. Now you know what my favorite season is.

Growing Up Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of growing up in this one I am going to mention about the pets that I had in my life and how they changed my life for the better! I will also let you know how to I got into writing as well as how I chose to start a website. I would love for you to understand how I got into writing. I truly believe that everyone’s life journey can impact someone’s life whether we realize it or not. I want to share my part because whoever stops by to read this it might change their life. I am going to start with this post about the animals that changed me.

Meet Buff this was my first dog in my life. He was this way when I came home. He was dropped off at Debbie and Kirby’s house when he was a puppy during a thunderstorm no one claimed him so they kept him took care of him and made him part of their lives. Buff was never around children so my guardians had to teach him how to be gentle with us which the longer we were around the more he got used to us. I would spend time with Buff as much as I could when it was summer I would put him on a leash and we would go for walks and then I would brush his hair. We were somewhat close and then we got more animals and Buff had to learn to get along with them. Watching Buff with other animals was interesting, but as time went on they learned to love each other every day! I will forever love dogs!

Buff has taught me that all animals need to be in a loving home because they will change our lives forever. I think dogs know us better than our friends. Dogs have changed my life! If you ever had any kind of dog in your life you know that taking care of that dog takes responsibility and I will say that Buff has definitely taught me that and what it means to think about an animal before yourself. Just as we need to be shown love dogs need to be loved as well.

Meet Kotton we gave him this name because he was all white. Yes in the photo you can see that he has one blue eye and one eye green that is how he was born. Kotton and Cory had a close relationship they always sat on the floor together in the kitchen and spend time together. The favorite memory I have of him is while we would eat together Kotton would sit between one of us on the floor begging for food. He loved the outdoors and sometimes would come back from his walk with something in his mouth that he caught!

Kotton enjoying just laying in the grass watching us do our things. He sure did enjoy scratching my legs every once in a while, but I think that is a cat thing. He was a pretty cat that I ever had so far that is my 1st cat that I ever had and I miss him every single day. He was a wonderful cat.

Meet Emily once we started noticing that Buff was getting older and slowing down with age that is when we adopted Emily. The first time we brought Emily home we did not know how Buff would react to a new member to our family, but once he got used to her being around they became friends. Emily would follow Buff everywhere in the yard. I knew that they would be friends!

One day Buff was outside playing in the creek that was near our house and could not get up so Kirby had to bring him in the basement and we had to made a decision and we did make a choice to let him go he was crying in pain so we said our final goodbyes it was a sad day along with it was raining. Buff was 13 years old when we had to say our final goodbye.

Saying goodbye to any animal is a hard thing to do because they change our lives for the better. Buff taught me that all animals need to be loved just like we do as people! When we go through the process of saying goodbye to an animal we loved for so long the best thing to do is to focus on all the positive memories we made with our furry friend. It is alright to cry because animals do become part of our family and we treat them as one of our own.

After Buff passed away Emily and Kotton got to become friends. Watching them 2 play outside just made my day better there was not a moment that we did not laugh. Kotton would get Emily in trouble for running through Debbie’s flowers! There was one time where we actually caught them sleeping side by side together one night.

Emily is a Sheltie so she would herd everything that moved the mower, the tractor, a car, or the 4 wheeler. This photo fits perfectly of how Kotton and Emily would play. Kotton was Cory and I’s first cat so we learned what it means to take care of an animal and how important it is to make sure they get loved because that is how you build a life time of memories with that animal. I am so glad that our guardians got us animals to love every day. Dogs has taught me how to put other things before myself and also responsibility.

Unfortuantlly Kotton got to the age of 13 years old and his life also came to the end in 2018. That cat will never be forgotton by me. He loved his hunting days and watching Emily and him play made us laugh. He is missed. Both Buff and Kotton lived a wonderful life together.

With all the animals that came into my life has changed me for the better. Emily and I had a close relationship ever since she was a puppy. She would follow me every where I went and did not like it when I left. I always made sure that Emily was taken care of everyday. Emily was my best friend whenever I was around. She helped me get through my tough days. She made my life better every single day!

Emily helped get through my homework nights after I came home from school she was my reading partner I would study with her, read to her while she took a nap on me. Whenever I had a bad day at school she would listen to me of how my day went so it was nice to have a listener.

I always did my best to take pictures of Emily so I could cherish them forever which most of the time she did not mind me doing, but she sure did know whenever I got the camera out some moments she would participate in and some she would run away, but for the most of the part she was good at getting photos done. I encourage anyone who has animals take as many photos as you can so you can hold onto the precious memories you made with your favorite animals!

While I was in school I always struggled in my classes I had to work harder for my grades than my other classmates and that was alright it did not mean I was not smart I just had to think harder for my grades. My favorite class growing up would have to be gym class I could just be myself as well as it gave me a break from thinking. Whenever classmates found out that I was adopted they would make rude comments to me that would hurt my feelings and I never understood why all I wanted was to make friends and be accepted by people. The older I got the more I was able to ignore those negative comments because I know that I have purpose here. Everyone’s life journey is special because we all have went down different paths which has helped us be who we are today and people will judge, but we need to focus on the positive comments and ignore the negativity around us. So just always remember your life journey does matter!

I graduate high school in 2015 and then I entered the real world. I took a little bit of a break to figure out what I wanted to do. Some people choose to go to college, but that is not what I wanted to do. After we graduate high school it can be a scary thing, but we need to remember that people will tell us what to do and how we should live our lives, but always do what is best for your life. Yes, I did graduate from a Christian school and what I will tell you is I left that school knowing in my heart that I was NOT a Christian and I was alright with that because I knew that I was different.  Just because I went to a private school did not mean I had the same belief system that everyone else around me had. No one really asked me about my belief which I was glad about because I sure did not want to talk about it. I will tell you that even today I am still NOT a Christian which I will talk about another day. Everyone has their own belif system so I live the best way I can every day. Whenever I got older and was able to write I enjoyed writing in a journal so that I could get my thoughts and feelings out, but there was always one thing that worried me which was who would find that journal and read it so I hid most of mine and did not let anyone look at it even my own guardians that I lived with because it was a personal thing.

Well, that is where I am going to leave you guys at I will share with you more about myself growing up piece by piece. I wanted to do a short growing up blog because I want to give my readers an idea of how I grew up. I hope this blog gave you an idea of who I am as a writer and blogger. Please stay connected with me to find out when the next blog will be posted. I love all my readers and I am glad we are friends!

                                              Thanks again,

Growing Up Part 1

Before I continue writing my thoughts down it would be helpful if you know how I grew up which I am going to do in 2 parts because it will separate the times if I join it all together you will be so confused. As you read this I hope that you see that I had a wonderful childhood growing up and that I was loved by my guardians each and every single day. If you know someone or you are adopted I would love to hear your story and how it changed your life for the better. After you are done reading this please join me on any of my internet sites so that we can become friends! I am thankful each and every single day for my adoption.

I thought it would be a good idea to take the time to talk about how I grew up so that you get an idea of who I am. The only way you will get to know me is if I share with you some memories I made and how I grew up. My story starts out differently from others and I honestly believe that is what makes me special. The reason why I would like to share my story with you is because I want people to know that I lived a good life and share the lessons I learned along the way with the people around me. So here is my story I hope you enjoy and know me better as a person as well as writer with you all! I hope that my story encourages everyone who reads it.

I am originally from Ukraine and the way I came over to the United States is through adoption and I am thankful for that because I get to have freedom in my life. I came over to the United States when I was only 4 years old with my brother. We did not speak English when we came to our forever home we had to be taught. I don’t remember anything about being in the orphanage and I would love to keep it that way.

When my birthmother found out that she was pregnant with me I bet she was scared and had to make the toughest choice she would have to make ever in her life. She knew that she was unable to take care of me from where she was at. As her heart was breaking to let me go she knew in her heart that giving me up was the best choice she could have made even though it was a painful thing for her to do. After I was born I was put in an orphanage where I and many other children waited to be united with their forever families. All of us want to be loved by someone every single day. I waited for my forever family and then it finally happened when the couple came to see me in the orphanage every day.

The couple that came to Ukraine were Kirby and Debbie Kendall. After they got married they knew that they always wanted children just waited for the right time so they saved up money, but adoption was layed on their heart they wanted to change a child’s life so they started the process looking around, getting information, and choosing the right place to adopt from and Ukraine was their final answer. They packed all their bags and headed towards Ukraine in 2000 to begin their journey of adoption. They went through photos of children and then went to orphanages to see and that is when they saw and met me for the first time. I do not remember anything that happened at the orphanage because I was too young at the time. They knew they wanted a little boy and a little girl. They would come back to the orphanage every single day to come visit me and play with me.  The hardest thing about being an orphane is you always have to wait for someone to choose you and waiting for a forever family can be a very long process and heartbreaking sometimes if someone does not choose you and they choose someone else.

Adoption is close to my heart and whenever I hear stories about adoption it makes me feel better because I know that I am not the only person who was adopted. It is unique how adoption stories came together because children’s lives are changed forever. I know that my life changed forever! When people hear about my story I hope that if someone is adopted that it encourages them to share with others their own personal adoption story because it is special. Adoption is a joyful thing that can happen in a child’s life.

On November 15, 2000 my dream had finally came true. Kirby and Debbie chose me to be with them what I did not know was they were going to bring me home along with a brother. Kirby and Debbie found a boy later on and then started the adoption process in Ukraine. My brother and I are not blood related. We came to our forever home in December of 2000. I was 4 and Cory was 2 at the time we did not know how to speak English at the time so we were taught how to until we caught on it took me longer than Cory, but I eventually got there. Debbie and Kirby made sure that we were taken real good care of, got the education that we needed growing up, allowed us to make friends, and always reminded us that we were loved by them no matter what! We were reminded every morning, afternoon, evening, and bedtime that they loved us which was a wonderful thing. I will always share my adoption story to the world because children who want to be adopted or they are already adopted need to know that it is alright to be different as well as they can find the courage to share their story with others.

Well, I know that I made this blog post short and I wanted to do that, but part 2 will be out in the beginning of August. If you know anyone or you yourself are adopted please take the time and share your story with the world because your story does matter. I have met people who were adopted and learned how it changed their life for the better. Adoption can change lives. So, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog please leave a comment at the end of this blog.

You Are Enough

As you read this topic, I truly hop that this encourages you in some way and that you take the time to share this encouragement with the people around you. I truly believe that all of us need this reminder as often as we can because people around us have a way to put is down with their negative words. Some people struggle with self esteem and they struggle with believing in themselves every single day.

I would like to share with you my story on how I struggles with self esteem and how I learned to encourage myself on my own. We need to help others around us with their self esteem because they need supporters who will help them get through the tough days. I too struggled during my childhood. Everyone who reads this will be reminded that they are enough no matter what!

While I was in school in school students would always say negative words to me that would bring my self esteem down which I bet we all have been in the same position I was in and we all need to stand up for ourselves when people tear us down with negativity. It was hard for me to believe in myself on certain things. When students would do that to me, I did not stand up for myself I just let the negative words sink in my mind. As I got older, I still did not know how to stand up for myself, so I struggled with encouraging myself. We are all different so reminding ourselves that we are good enough can be a struggle for everyone, but if we have people who are our friends can help us get through the tough days so we can look forward to our future. Now that I am an adult I have learned that people’s opinions about me should not matter every day. I remind myself all the time now that I am good enough even on my tough days when they come. So I hope that you understand that you are enough all the time.

So, my encouragement for all of you is that remind yourself each day that you are enough no matter what the world tells you just be yourself. Whenever people pick on you just ignore them and know that you are enough. Everyone has a purpose in the world and each one is different so our goals will always be different. Encourage the people around that they too are enough every single day. I hope that this blog encouraged you and that if someone needs encouraged that you take the time to share this so that they get a wonderful reminder. Stay connected to get more encouragement because I want to do that for you. Thank you for your loving support readers.

Thanks again,

Heather Kendall

Life’s Journey

The reason why I chose this encouragement is because I personally believe that is true for all of us. Your life journey will always be different from mine because we were created differently. We all have been through different situations that has helped us become a stronger person as well as helped us learn life lessons that we can share with the younger generation for years to come. I am thankful for my journey each and every single day because I know I am becoming stronger.

People are not going to know what our journey was like if we do not take the time to share that journey with the people around us each day. I know for a fact that whenever the younger generation listens to our life’s journey, the struggles that we went through and how we over came them, and the wonderful memories we made then they can pass that down. When people hear about the things we did along our journey that will help them know that no one is perfect that it is alright to make mistakes along with they are not alone because there is always someone here to be a good friend to listen every single day.

So, in conclusion do not expect people to know what you are going through right away but try to explain it to them so that someday they will know what you were talking about. Do not judge someone’s journey because your journey is different from theirs. Your journey can help someone and might teach someone a lesson about life. So, before you go and judge the person try to see what that person went through first and share your journey with them. Your struggles, life lesson, mistakes you made, and the wonderful memories you made along the way might help them with whatever they are going through right now. So please share your life’s journey with the people you care about!

Let’s Be Friends

In this crazy world it is hard to stay connected because we are all busy. I would love for us to follow each other’s blogs and become friends who encourage each other as we go through this journey called “life” whenever we are having a rough moment, we are able to reach out to each other and remind them that they are NOT alone.   You might be wondering “Heather why are your accounts private and how are we supposed to get a hold of you if we need someone to talk to right away?” Well, my friends that is a wonderful question to ask. The reason why I made my accounts private is because I do not want scammers getting into my accounts or putting information on there without my permission, so privacy is for my own protection. I will try to get back to you as soon as I am able to, I check my messages every day!    So, with that all being said here are all the ways you can connect with me. Remember, if you request to follow me, I promise I will follow you right back! Keeping my accounts private has nothing to do with you I made this decision right away when I signed up for these accounts.

About This Website

For those of you who are just joining me welcome. This website is created for anyone who needs encouragement in their life because we all need reminded that we are not alone as we go through this journey called “life”. I wanted to create a website where I could share my experience with the world. We should think of life as a journey because it is the best way to stay positive whether good or bad. Life will have it’s challenges, but that is how we become stronger as well as a better person in the near future. The challenges that we are faced with, the memories we make, and the lessons we learned someday might just impact someone’s life by the stories we share whether we realize it or not every single day.

Growing up I always felt like the opinions I had on certain topics and my encouragement that I had to share did not matter to whoever I talked to so with that being said I kept most of my thoughts, feelings, and opinions all to myself because I did not want to be made fun of or even get judged. I believe that we all have had that kind of feeling at some point in our lives, so we all know what I am talking about here. Most of the time I would write down my feelings, thoughts, and opinions in a journal and then hid it from everyone else. It is my time now to share my opinions forever.

After I graduated high school that is when I realized that it was time for me to share what I had to say with others because I might just change someone’s life by what I said. It took me a while to come up with website name. I did have a website started, but I got rid of it because I was too busy to keep it going and now that I have more life’s experience I am able to share what I have learned along the way. I will say I have learned that it does not matter what others think about my opinions because we all have them and what I have to say does matter! Once I realized that my opinion mattered that is when I decided to have the courage to start this website back up again.

As you read each blog, I hope that you learn something new about me as a writer along with who I was growing up. I honestly believe that I have something to bring to the table with each blog. I will tell you now that with each blog I take the time to think through the topic that I will share, and I write the post with an open heart and mind. As you read each blog, I politely ask that you respect what I have to say you do not have to agree with me just try to have an open mind. Also, please respect other comments whenever you are reading comments. I hope that along with each blog that we can become close friends. I will read each comment and try to contact you back.

Please feel free to follow me on WordPress if you have an account on here.  In another blog I will explain how you guys can get in contact with me so let the blogging begin and friendships be built. Our opinions, feelings, and thoughts DO matter and do not be afraid to share those along with me!

Thanks Again,

Heather Kendall

Welcome To Encouragement For Your Journey

I truly believe that we are all on a journey and I would like to encourage others along their journey whether good or bad. I do not know what you are going through right now, but what I do know is everyone needs encouragement along the way to remind us that we are not ever alone every single day. I would like for you to come and learn about the journey that I am on as well as I will be sharing with you all my struggles, mistakes I made, the wonderful memories I made, and the life lessons I learned along the way that has made me who I am today as a young woman.

Life will give us all kinds of challenges because it might help us down the road in the future to make us stronger people. I have decided to share my personal secrets with you because that is how you are going to know me better. I have had personal experiences that has changed me for the good and when we share with people around us with those stories it might help them through their struggles at the same time. Hope these topics will be helpful for you and you encourage others around you every single day.

Allow me to take this time to introduce my as the writer. My name is Heather Kendall. I am originally from Ukraine and the way I came over to the United States is through adoption and I am thankful for that because I get to have freedom in my life. I came over to the United States when I was only 4 years old.

When my birthmother found out that she was pregnant with me I bet she was scared and had to make the toughest choice she would have to make ever in her life. On November 15, 2000 my dream had finally came true. Kirby and Debbie chose me to be with them what I did not know was they were going to bring me home along with a brother. Growing up I was always happy that I had guardians who took care of me and most of the time growing up it felt like a family. I always had someone to play with outside!

I will share with you my life story later, but to keep this short I always struggled in my classes I had to work harder for my grades than my other classmates and that was alright it did not mean I was not smart I just had to think harder for my grades. My favorite class growing up would have to be gym class I could just be myself as well as it gave me a break from thinking.  While I was finishing up my high school year I knew it was time for me to start thinking about my future and what I wanted to do with my life. I already knew that I did not want to go to college and I did not care what others thought about my decision because I was doing what was best for me.  Whatever decision you make/ made after you graduate is all up to you do not allow the world to tell you who to be show them. Your plans, goals, and dreams are different than someone else as long as your happy as to where your heading then go after your dreams don’t let anyone stop you. I did what was best for my future no matter who or what got in my way. Don’t let anyone stop you from going after your dreams.

I graduate high school in 2015 and then I entered the real world. I took a little bit of a break to figure out what I wanted to do. I tried a few different jobs I finally found a job in retail as a cashier at a store. The job has taught me responsibility, availability, and teamwork. I learned how important it is to keep a job that is how to make money!

In my free time I enjoy writing topics about life lessons that I have learned so that I can share with others around me. Each of us have our own personal life journey to share and when we share those stories we might be helping someone out through their journey whether we realize it or not and that is what I would like to do.

With each topic that I will be sharing with you it will be coming from my heart. When I decided to start the website I was excited because I have learned new things as time went on as well as I would like for my readers to get to understand who I really am as a writer. Within my life time I have had my share of sorrows, pain, heartbreak, dissapointments, joys, and lessons that will help me in my future. I would love for us to become friends and sharing with each other our thoughts on our topics that we talk about.     Well, in conclusion welcome to my website. As you read each blog please share your thoughts with me so I can become a better writer. Welcome readers and always be encouraged!

Thank You,

Heather Kendall
